Need assistance mounting a 30mm scope

Just out of curiosity, on the windage adjustable rings, did you use a laser boresighter to bring the scope into alignment with the bore when you first tried getting it on paper?

Yes, I always laser bore site. Also, it is always my preference to not use windage adjustable bases and rings, if at all possible. Like you, there have been a few instances when those were the best option for what I had to work with.

Thank you all for your input. I ended up not lapping the rings. I did use a scope level and everything seemed to work out just fine. You can see the finished product in the Rifle thread under "New tactical bolt gun."
