I'm selling one of my pistols, I was contacted by someone that says they live in broken arrow but are a Texas resident with a Texas carry permit, to me that still says the pistol has to be transferred because of out of state resident, but I'm not positive cause they are currently living here, way to much gray area here for me, appreciate any good info, thanks

I wouldn't do any sale that I don't feel good about period, but at this point I'm curious about the legalities of it, it sounds like no matter what it would have to go through a ffl, but I'm also not positive, I can easily say sorry, it will have to go through ffl for a sale, I have no problem with that, but more curious than anything

Ok, apparently I should have reworded this thread, I didn't ask if I should do it or not, this was not a question of whether or not I should break the damn law, this was a question of what is the actual law, so, please if someone actually has some legitimate information on this matter it would be appreciated, once again, I can guarantee I'm not just going to freely hand over my weapon to someone claiming something, thanks ahead of time

Private sales between residents of OK are legal. The sale of a firearm to a Texas resident by an OK resident would require a FFL in TX, the buyer's home state, to be involved, unless the Texas resident had Permanent Change of Station (PCS) military orders placing him in OK at the behest of the US Government.

Why are they living in Broken Arrow? Military? Do they have proof of being a Oklahoma resident such as utility bills in their name? A person can be a resident without current ID....but they really should update the ID if they live here.
