I have waited years to buy a good bandsaw.

I bought this from a great member here. I replaced a few bearings and made some adjustments and now this is ready to cut.

A 2 HP Dayton electric motor running at 1750 rpm is installed and is wired for 220v. This has a 2 speed gear drive, and 5 pulley adjustments. This blade speed adjustments makes it perfect for cutting metal or wood.

I just need to figure out what the next project is going to be.

They are not made like these anymore. The stuff manufactured today are made to replace and not maintain when parts wear out.
I'm a lover of the old cast iron, I restore these old tools and really enjoy using them. The bandsaw is due for a refresh, it was restored by my Dad in the late 80's.

I've got a cheap Chinese horizontal band saw, I keep a metal blade on it, it's one of the handiest tools in my shop.

Right outta high school worked in a machine shop that about half the equipment was WW2 surplus. Still making chips and money. I bet some of it still is somewhere.

I have a commercial Kalamazoo in my shop with a 21" throat. Company I worked for 30 years ago was going to scrap it as a gear in the gearbox had a broken tooth and they couldn't find parts for it.
I picked it up for $100 and had American Gear in Kansas city build a new gear that worked perfectly for another $150. High speed great for wood and low speed for steel.
