I got tired of losing and ordering front sights for my '60 Army, so I made this one:

[Broken External Image]

It only cost me a quarter and no shipping fees!:wink2:

Actually, it cost me $1.00, 'cause I did a Texas quarter for practice, then messed up a couple of Oklahoma quarters before I got it right. It still need a bit of cleanup, not a finished product quite yet.

I just used some LockTite epoxy that is supposed to be good for steel. At one time I had an 1860 penny front sight and I used BelZona epoxy for it, but lost it anyway. BelZona is good for filling holes, but apparently not good for gluing front sights. If I knew how, and had the stuff, I'd silver solder it in place.
