The scene where he cut the end of his finger off in the ER with a pocket knife did it for me, pretty ridiculous. Don't need to watch it anymore if that's far fetched.

He's more than a landman. I know what landmen do, I own mineral in Beckham Co and when things get hot, I get calls. Billy runs the show more than a landman. Your confusing the title with what he really is I think but we'll see as it plays out.
One of my favorite scenes was when he was out front of the hospital waiting for the sherif to pick him up and the whole dialect between him and the security guard. I rolled on the floor.

He is what they used to call that "Company Man". I worked for K&A, and Keplinger and Associates as the Company Man for 8 Years mostly in Western OK and in Beckham County.

Well you've been told wrong.

The opening scene where he's in an abandoned warehouse for a surface lease negotiation, tied up, hooded and had a murder committed right in front of him for starters. Then, there's where he goes out to check and see if their stolen plane has been found. And I can 1000% guarantee the first person on the pad at a blowout isn't going to be a Landman. Ever...

I saw a FB comment on one the ads, obviously by another Landman such as myself, it said "someone ought to tell Taylor Sheridan what a Landman actually does". He was spot on.

Bear in mind I've only seen the first two episodes. I'll probably get caught up when I go to bed tonight. It is a good show but it's 100% fiction. The scene with his daughter at the football game had me rolling in the floor! "I'm going to get a Dr. Pepper. Want anything?"

Not sure, but I think the gal playing the daughter is the same one who played the daughter who got bit in the butt by the rattlesnake in the 1883 series.

Saw a clip on YouTube where Billy Bob was out in a field with a woman and she about steps on a big ol rattlesnake, freezes instead of backing away, then gets upset when he kills it with a shovel.

Yeah, no thanks.

If you’ve watched SoA then you will see the exact same story & plot structure of Kurt Sutter in most of the ‘TV’ shows. I will say TS’s movie have been at least moderately more creative by him.
