Bought my first gun the day after bootcamp. Stopped at a k- mart on the way to A school at Port hueneme. Got a marlin glenfield model 26 with a weaver 4 power, $19. Bought a brick of .22 wildcat, $4.99. Sept 72, yes I still have it.

Very cool! I definitely find myself wishing I had kept some of my earlier guns. Lessons learned. Glad you were wise enough to hold onto that!

the first gun i ever bought was a lever action winchester 30 30. i wish i still had it but i sold it years ago.
