It went down when we were fishing in the gulf, but the GPS was eaten by a shark...

It don't have to be a boat per-say. I lost mine in a kayaking accident. I rented the kayak from war eagle on the upper Illinois river. Kayak rentals are cheap. They are especially unstable when loaded down with weapons stash. Dont worry the kayak that transported the beer survived the trip.
