Not to say what they're doing is completely reasonable, but with the fuel surcharges having gone up so much lately, it resently cost me $13 to ship five empty 7.62 magazines, and $23 to ship a completed upper ... more than it was six months ago anyway.

Mass shippers get discounted freight charges. I'm not saying (well, I guess I am a little) that 15 to 17 dollars isn't that out of line. My point was more the fact they are limiting it to 1 box and still charging 15 to 17 dollars. At least let me get 3 boxes to spread the shipping cost around.

You should have shipped your magazines in a flat rate Priority postal box.

Yep, that would certainly be better - in fact, if this is some sort of profit motive I suspect it's less about "charge too much for shipping ammo" than it is about hoping people buy something else at the same time.
