Also, i think espn has an article about how the call last night changed the betting lines between $150-$250 million.

Where's Reddog?!! I will say that if the Mob had a window of oppurtunity..... this season is the time. Lotsa games being changed by the refs.

As far as the Football naysayers go..... don't you guys have 93849823298 other threads on here you can *****, piss, moan, and talk about your poopy diapers? :D

The league is correct that no one pays to see the refs. Unfortunately they fail to see that professional refs with a high percentage of correct calls are nearly invisible, while bumbling, stumbling refs that have to have a 3 minute confab and still come to the wrong conclusion are becoming higher profile to the outcome of the game than multi-million dollar star players.

True professionals are worth their weight in gold.

If you aren't aware, here at the issues with bringing the refs back.

- The NFL referees make $8,000 per week at their part-time job and are demanding a 20% raise while the NFL is offering in the range of 5% to 10%.
- The NFL is offering a 401k with contributions of $16k to $23k per year instead of an outdated pension plan that many full-time NFL employees don't receive.
- The NFL would like to have 7 full-time referees but the union sees this as a threat to referees having two incomes.
- The NFL would like to have a pool of 21 additional referees (3 teams) to build their bench and become stronger and deeper. The union also sees this as a threat to their livelihood and security.

Maybe Obama should step in and bail out the professional refs. I think it's only a matter of about 3 million dollars. That's pocket change for Obie.

When you guard the integrity of a billion dollar industry, you deserve it. Goodell is the one who needs a wage decrease, I bet he'd protest.

The last bullet point is a no brained to disagree with as an NFL referee FWIW.
