"In a situation reminiscent of the Shaneen Allen case, a 72-year-old retired school teacher in New Jersey faces a 10-year felony sentence (a likely life sentence) and the jeopardization of his pension for possession of an unloaded 300-year-old flintlock pistol."...

sucks, but he should have known the laws in his state for carrying/owing firearms.

i don't walk around with a gun in my hand waving it around walmart even though I have a license to carry one. I know my state laws.

Nor do I. But I do walk around with an expectation of justice. Outrageous laws or the outrageous execution of laws should be resisted. If the state proceeds in trying to prosecute at least the world can see how ridiculous these laws are. The Townhall article even points out that federal law is on the side of the accused.

Maybe, but while you're in Walmart, you'd be smart not to let your hand stray to far from your holster.
