Oh, smoking a little weed doesn't hurt anyone." Matter of fact, a mother was arrested this week for child neglect (child was running around outside in a diaper) and she had been smoking marijuana all day. But no one was hurt and that is good.
Absolutely it was.
I think "most" is stretching it; there are plenty who don't think it should be illegal.
And I'm sure she would have been a finalist for Mother of the Year without the weed, right?

People saying they know her are talking on a couple of the news forums. Word is she's a methhead and drunk who was given breaks by the court. They say she's got 5 other kids not with her and recently failed the drug court program.

I know some people are real concerned about pot but the truth is some people smoke pot and do nothing else and we seldom see cases where that leads to tragedy. Yet it's all the kids being born meth and opiate addicted or where parents are using other drugs like antidepressants, benzodiazepines, etc. that are at a much bigger risk and more cost to society yet that's being excused and ignored. Here and nationwide you can find articles showing while pot is sometimes also involved it's where meth/opiate addicts who have drug babies are being excused and allowed to keep the kids that's resulting in many deaths.
DHS has been caught several times over the years and are still doing it.

Remember the child who died in the mop bucket in W. Tulsa last year? Mom tested positive for meth while pregnant and was allowed to keep the child who tested positive for meth when he died.

So why is it so many including those in the system fight against pot so hard but ignore the bigger issues?
Perhaps it's because--just like the leftists who want to take our guns--they think they know what's best for everybody, and they're by-Gawd going to force it on us.

Yeah I guess growing the welfare, social services, education, etc. systems does justify and profit some so can't let kids suffering or dying get in the way.
