With support waining for gun control, you can bet that their is some looney lefty out there plotting a massacre to bring it back to the forefront. Count on it.

More than likely. People just don't want to admit or don't want to know that those "loonies" aren't people among the general population; they are the ones who use these "events" to further agendas.

Weird we were talking about this & then the Boston incident happened. Really weird that they were running a bomb drill prior to it happening as well. It's almost like they were too prepared for this to happen.

Based on the bomb drill, I had the thought that, instead of a massive conspiracy theory to further erode our rights, what if it was smaller scale? What if they had Intel that there was going to be a bomb, but the city didn't want to call off the race because there was too much money in it?

Also, if they didn't believe it was a credible threat, maybe they thought the dogs and stuff would be enough insurance in case someone did try to pull something.

I think Occam's razor may apply here, and the political types are just trying to use it to their advantage.
