Now I just feel betrayed. They told me I was an ideal recruit and I'm a white man with a Master's degree. My Spanish is broken at best. Why is it a trap? Their pay and benefits are among the best in the state if you want to do the cop job.
Among the best, but not the best. I'd hit up Moore then Norman. You'd pay out the @$$ for insurance, couldn't do much proactive, be severely understaffed, the use of force boards are a joke (people get in trouble for using the ASP when needed, but others have confirmed kills with their boots) etc.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they're a great department to work for, but they arent the be all, and every place has issues. The key is to know what you're getting into
