Didn't I hear a week ago Friday or so, Trump stating that 10,000 of the Hydroxychloroquine / Z pack treatment tablets were being shipped for NY over the last weekend to use used in a trial in NY City starting Tuesday the 31st? Seems we (or I guess I should have said "I") have heard nothing of this since.

Might this drug be what Trump was referring to early on when he stated they had been in contact with a few US drug manufactures to "ramp up production." nothing was stated of production of what at that time.

Later I heard Israel was shipping us 6 million of these pills and another country was shipping us one million of these pills.

Could it be they are keeping this downplayed to distribute to critically ill then healthcare workers, then to the rest of us later as supplies are manufactured and can be distributed?

They can ramp up production but there are already millions of doses available. It's being used here in Tulsa hospitals as of right now.

It's being prescribed in several hospitals in several cities in OK right now. It's always been on hand for Lupus.

Perfect example of why .gov should have no role in medicine, or only a supporting/consulting role with no regulatory authority at all.

How would if feel if you were a doctor that knew this would work, that knew it had been used for years with little side effects, that knew it was cheap, that knew it was available. Would you like to tell your patient "you have to die because I can't give it to you. The .gov hasn't studied it yet to see if it works for this. We know it works for other stuff, it's safe, and it's available, but I can't give it to you because it's not approved".

Same thing applies to labs across the country. There were/are hundreds of them all over that couldn't do the testing. Not because they didn't know how or weren't equipped, but only because they weren't approved to do it. These labs were/are fully capable of developing the test protocols required and might only need some help getting their hands on reagent. But the weren't "approved".

ZH is correct in one regard and that's we do in fact have socialized healthcare right fricken now. They should be kicked completely out of the industry and let doctors and providers practice their art with their patients.

Both OSUandOU med school labs are anodizing testing for Okla testing sites. I would respectfully disagree with you on that
