2005 Alaskan Cruise and Land Tour beginning. This was taken in Vancouver, B.C. as we waited to embark on the cruise up the Inside Passage. Lots of harbor activity, what with ships, sailboats, ferries, sea planes, and helicopters coming to and fro. Squarish boat is a ferry, but I was surprised with the floating helipad.
We came into the same harbor on a cruise. Love those ferries. We have vacationed in Vancouver twice. The rides on the ferries can be several hours long at times but they have movie screens, bars and bands for dancing on some. The best part is the scenery. The crews on the ferries really know how to utilize the space on them to load the vehicles and trucks. At the ferry ports, people set up picnic lunches on grassy areas while waiting to load, with people playing instruments and so on to create a party atmosphere.
Just for the sake of conversation. How many know what the name of this lizard? Also what State has this named as the Official State reptile? I do know, but curious how many others might. I didn't know about the critter until I captured with my camera a few years ago.
