Here's a pic of the Cucharas River along side the road leading up to Blue and Bear Lake.

...and a view of the west Spanish Peak taken from the same road but several feet higher than the river pic. In the lower/right/center you can see the road adjacent to Blue Lake.

Everytime we go to Colorado and then down to Red River NM, it makes me never want to go home. Great pics.

It never gets old; going to the Wichita Mountains. We went yesterday.

This is from Mt. Scott. The little one went total spaz on us at first. He got over it, and we climbed down to the first road and back.

Over the fear, thinking about spitting on a passing car below.

Fire that spread from poorly placed ordinance (Ft. Sill) earlier this year. Still pretty.

View from the top of some smaller mountain. Can't remember which one. I'm sure my dad knows. He grew up here.

This was one of two cabins built in 1923 by one man, and one horse. Clever horse.

I smacked each one on the ass for luck. Honest.

We spent a couple of days at LETRA in April. The wife was reminiscing about her time at Ft Sill when her dad was stationed there. Beautiful.

I was born in Lawton. My folks grew up there. My dad did ROTC to pay for school in the mid-60s. Just lucky that we were there at the time of my birth, or I might have been a D.C. baby. Gross!

My dad used to take me there a lot, and my uncle Nick. One time we had been hiking around for hours. I was probably eight or nine. I remember asking him, "Daddy where are we?" He put his hands on his hips, looked around, and said, "I'm really not sure." He can't remember if he was kidding or not. He would kid around a lot. There's not telling. We lived.

I love it there, and tell my kids that we are lost all the time. Often though, we are. Guess I should have paid more attention when I was little. I also enjoy it when we find predator scat, and big cat prints. I tell the little one that they are fresh (like I'd know the difference), and that it is feeding season. I am a bad parent.

Got my test roll from this dude back.

I way underexposed most every shot (using Velvia 100...I'll prolly switch to Provia 400 in this thing full-time so it's more versatile) and I'm still learning how to focus a rangefinder, but at least it functions and doesn't seem to have light leaks.
