I can’t remember the last time my Emerson was that clean and shiny. Kinda makes me want a new one, but this one and I have a history.
My other one which is clean and shiny is several years old, carried and used, just like all my other clean and shiny stuff, if bought new it generally stays looking new, including watches, because I was raised poor, never was wealthy although I made good income, and was taught to take care of things, even cheap things...about the only things of mine ever dogged out were dedicated work tools, civilian and military, and even most of them stayed looking decent...when dirty they were cleaned, and when dry they were oiled...and, of course, whenever possible, the right tool was used for the job. This black handled one was used EXTREMELY hard in the military, often when the right tool was not anywhere near and things couldn't wait. The old Puma was carried from 1973 to 1993, and all these (except the SAK) were generally on my person for military and civilian career past the Puma being put out to pasture.
