Do they have a Mahogony near Penn? I've only been to the one west of Quail Springs.

If she's coming in late, why not hit someplace in Bricktown? Closer to the airport than Penn Square....and a lot of restaurant options. Lot of joints on Meridian just north of the airport too.

That's what I was talking about I always get the mall mixed up.

On the last Friday of each month, Elemental Coffee roasters hosts the H&8th food event- Food trucks line Hudson St. at 8th. Kind of a funky, eat on the sidewalk and meet people sort of venue.

Great idea. Unfortunately, these are only held during the warmer months. The last one was Friday the 28th and should pick back up in March. Good lineup of trucks, though.

Papa Dios for the win! Don't judge it by the mini mall location it's the real deal. They have excellent food and you can choose between the casual side and the upscale side. It's the oldest continuously operated Italian restaurant in OKC and once you eat there you'll see why.

Cafe Pranzo...was my go to place for a short while but I was underwhelmed by the food and the chairs are old wood POS's that are super uncomfortable and you're always wondering when someone is going to take a spill in one when it finally gives out. I would find it entertaining to watch all the people playing musical chairs because theirs is horrible except the chair I was sitting in was making me miserable. Short story....skip it, with one exception- if you're in the mood for the worlds best cheesecake then Cafe Pranzo is the shiznit...they have their cheesecakes flown in from the world famous Carnagie Deli in NYC and serve it with fresh creme and a raspberry puree...OMG it's heavenly (and you can order a slice or a whole cheesecake to go! Be careful though a whole cheesecake flown in from NYC isn't cheap). If you're not into cheesecake then they also have the worlds best giant chocolate cake (this stuff will rock your world!). To sum it all up - Cafe Pranzo food = meh, Cafe Pranzo chocolate cake and cheesecake = OMFG AWESOME!

The ideal Italian dinner night out? Dinner at Papa Dios then dessert at Cafe Pranzo.
