I was the first to respond to your post here. Here is what I have thought about since you posted your Post and your reply to my post.

A childish response. Learn to control your emotions before you type or talk. You will fair in life much better if you do learn how to. And I think your emotional response was meant to say "Consider moving to a Country with "OUT" an 8th amendment"

Now if I had posted my initial emotional response to your post. It would have went something like this.

I still think the eskimos of old had it right. If I person did a crime such as murder they were banished from the group. Many such banishments took place in the middle of winter. On the flat open wind swept plain of the arctic tundra in the middle of winter the outcome of such a banishment was obvious.

Who the hell said the death penalty is used as a deterrent? You gotta be an idiot to think this. The death penalty, prison, jail, and all that other fun stuff is for PUNISHMENT. Not a deterrent; punishment!
