I'm am seriously not one to cry about the ref's usually but I am getting tired of going through bedlam games without a single offensive line holding penalty against OU (or chop blocks) when they are literally tackling OSU's defensive line. I'm sorry for complaining because I'm just a little grumpy tonight. But I truly believe that with officials from any other conference than the Big 12 I think OSU wins that game tonight. And definitely with a healthy Justin Blackmon. I'm going to take a wild guess here but I bet the penalties difference between OU and Nebraska will be pretty obvious next week.

But I kid..... I would not have minded seeing O-State win at all - because they were at home and because if they'd have won, they would have had a higher BCS ranking going into the championship game and the bowl.

So take away that pass, we can remove yalls touchdown kickreturn for two uncalled blocks in the back and it's 40-34, officials can't see everything...

i admit i'm pretty dumb when it comes to the technicalities of football, but is it seriously a for real rule that if the place kicker falls down, we have to give the ball back? and what about the face mask rule, i saw ou run with the ball while holding the would-be tackler stiff armed by the grill. i'm not making excuses, i'm sure there were questionable things on both sides, just curious?

As far as roughing is concerned, there are two levels of calls, a small hit is running into and is only a 10 yard penalty, the roughing(knocking him down blatantly or just hard) always gives the kicking team the ball back(I personally hate to see a player get called for roughing when it's clearly an accident, but kickers are very open to injury so it will be called every time). Face mask - no player can be tackled by their face mask it's a penalty, there is a personal foul or a normal 5 yd call depending on severity, the runner you saw was giving a stiff arm to push away a would be tackler, perfectly legal

thanks for the clarification zseese. i thought roughing had to be intentional. that dude fell down and slide into the kickers feet. seems unreasonable to me, no matter who its called on, but if thems the rules, then thems the rules.

I always like watching the guys get close to the kicker. Some of them can win an Academy Award for their falling down and limping off performance. This is on any team.
