Funny thing, my 1st wife was in labor on 2/29/88 and kept insisting the nurses give her SOMETHING to slow the labor process because she was NOT going to have a leap year baby. I guess it worked because my daughter was born around 12:30 AM on 3/1/88.
God Bless the ‘old’ girl. She’s lived her life in an ever changing world. I wonder what she thinks of it now. In 2022, my Mother passed on at age 95, on her Birthday, no less. When she was 89, I clearly recall her telling me, “Now, everything that was right when I was young, is wrong; and everything that was wrong, is right.” It’s no wonder that old people get confused…..
