I have an extendable pole chain saw. It has a pressed metal gear that will eat itself if you get the chain stuck in a tree limb. So far, I have managed to work around it but I may need a new gear. Would these new printers do this simple task or is the technology not there yet?

The best I could print with these type of machines would be carbon fiber impregnated nylon, that would not be as strong as the metal gear. That being said they are printing things like car parts (non metal) just fine.
