Your comment in reference to Mount Rushmore:



Check your maps. Needles Highway (Highway 87) runs from west of Mount Rushmore down into Custer State Park. (Custer State Park requires a $20 fee, but is good for a week.) Then, for a return trip, Iron Mountain Road (also known as Highway 16A) runs from Custer State Park back up to just east of Mount Rushmore. (Check my Smugmug South Dakota folder for pictures along both roads. Both Iron Mountain Road and Needles Highway are in the Black Hills Area folder.)

Evening guys,
I spent most of the day, about 6 or so hours, taking down and putting up all of the outdoor Christmas decorations. Now all we have left to do is the inside and my wife said she will do that when I am watching football Friday. lol

It's snowing here at Grand Lake. Huge snow flakes.

We saw Elton in concert. Was just him and his piano --- no band, no opening act. I'd have to rate it #1 out of all the concerts I've attended. He played and sang for 3 hours. Was a great, great show!!
