Good morning folks!
Well yesterday was a long ass day for the wife and I.
We drove back to the city from the lake house yesterday morning. Had about 30 minutes to get dressed and over to St. Eugene's church to witness our daughter in law and son get remarried. She is becoming Catholic so they have to get married in the eyes of the church. It was only about 20 minutes and pretty informal. Then the Godparents took us around the Cathedral and grounds to show us what to expect for the rest of the evening. Being Baptist, The wife and I have never been to a ceremonial mass.
Then they took us to dinner around 5pm.
We had to be back at 9pm last night for the ceremonial baptism. Our DIL and grandson was baptized last night along with a number of other folks. It was a 3 hour ceremony. They had all 8 Priest on hand. It was quite an experience. We didn't home until after midnight last night and we have a full day of work today.
I know, it's Easter But we have no choice. So work it is.
Happy Easter everyone!!
Good morning OSA.
Not feelin' too perky, gonna call it a night.
Y'all have a good one.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Good evening folks,
Wife and I had a busy day today working on our annual convention/competition. It starts a week from this Wednesday and goes through Sunday night. Our registration closes this Friday and we are at 3,100 entries right now. It is mind blowing for sure. Spend all of our free time this past weekend getting al of our volunteers scheduled and in order. This week will be judges schedules and food. The hotel (Embassy Suites), offers a free breakfast buffet and a free happy hours but the restaurant is not open for lunch or dinner. So we have made deals with some of our local restaurants to come and set up in our extra ballrooms. We are turning them into a food court for our participants. Lots of Covid hoops to jump through but I think we got it all worked out. We feel blessed to have such a great turnout but we are ready for it to get here and be done. lol!
Hope everyone had a great Monday,
Happy Tuesday! Eat tacos!
Good morning all!
OMG I'm so glad there's only 2 more days in this week. I'm pooped. Damned doctors are doing the hurry up and wait thing with me and I'm starting to worry that I'm gonna start glowing in the dark I've had so many images taken. Ugh.
