Does anyone else take a zip lock bag with coffee beans with them hunting, fishing, shooting, driving, etc. to be able to have some to pop a few in your mouth and suck on like hard candy? Also helps charges a cup on the go too. Or am I just weird?

You’re weird… just joking. I make dark chocolate covered coffee beans and take with me on long trips, hunting, fishing, etc. They’re pretty tasty and don’t require near as many bathroom breaks.

I always carry a zip lock of coffee.

When we had our coffee bar, got fresh, custom roast from a small roaster in Houston. (They roasted 15k # a day, order by 10am and get delivered the next morning, bag still warm)

We were in Dallas for Spring market. Had stopped at Denny's, near market center, for breakfast.

I had my bags. Asked waitress for a pot of coffee made with mine?

She goes and talks to manager. He comes over and asks if there is a problem?

Told him no problem, but I wanted to buy a pot of coffee and preferred it made with mine.

He takes the baggie and makes the coffee. Pours himself a cop and brings us the pot. He takes a drink and looks at the cult, "DAYUM! That is good coffee."

I tell him about the coffee. He is bound by company to use there service, but he keeps my baggie for his own use.

When he went to Fall market, he asked if I needed a pot made fresh? Gave him a full baggie. He comped our breakfast.

Hope everyone made it safely through the storms and/or fires depending on where you live. I woke up this morning to find out the wind ripped off the roof to four of my storage units last night. It could have been worse, and I’m thankful that nobody was hurt. Spent the day doing my best too secure the loose tin and other debris while fighting the wind. The real cleanup begins tomorrow if the wind will cooperate.

Just spent a week down at the ranch building a new dam......check out these pics of my trackhoe stuck in the dam....I had been driving the bulldozer on top of the dam all day building it up and I though the trackhoe would have no problem but.....oh well, Finally got it out under its own power.....live and learn...!!!
