Good evening everyone. My border collie, Molly, passed this morning, and I spent the morning getting her buried in the yard. She had a long and full life, but she went downhill fast. I’ll be doing a short write up on her life in the “Let’s see them doggies” thread either later tomorrow or Sunday. She had a very interesting life. She was a great dog, and I miss her greatly. My daughter and I have been planning a short getaway weekend this week, and we came down to Wichita Falls for some Dad/daughter time this evening. We both decided to still get away for the weekend after loosing Molly. We took Molly for a short walk in the woods yesterday evening because I knew her time was close to the end. This evening we had a nice dinner and then stocked up on some cookies from a bakery. We’re spending the night down here, and tomorrow we’re going to hit some thrift stores and antique stores. Hope everyone has a good weekend and stays warm.
Sorry to hear, losing a good pet is always hard, and seems to get worse with age for me. Prayers for yall

I got notice earlier that we lost another one of our vet's from my unit...found dead at a casino resort today or yesterday in Louisiana, 40 years old...not sure what happened yet...I told my wife today that if some younger person asks how "turning 40 went", I'm going to say "40 was fine, but 41-44 sucked!"

Good morning all,
What a beautiful morning (after winning Bedlam last night).
Driving back to OKC in a few for work. It’s been a relaxing 3 days here at the lake house.

Wife and I are getting excited about our cruise next week. It’s funny, this will be my 26th cruise and I still get excited for them.

My brother, his wife, son and grandson are down at my ranch in Hughes county....the grandson (10 years old) took his first deer a few weeks ago on youth rifle weekend and now he really has the hunting bug (big time)....he took his 2nd buck yesterday on opening day....I'm posting two pics of his deer with him and his dad looking pleased.....the third pic is of a buck that my nephew took at my brothers ranch in Lincoln county also on opening day....

Here, but occasionally There.
The coffee is...

...and, after doing enough stuff to really irritate my left knee, it has finally "calmed down" enough that the wife and I walked in the mall yesterday. We will probably try to do so early each day to avoid as many of the crowds as we can. We would occasionally walk with our youngest son, but his walking pace was too much for my ability with this knee.

Only plans we have at present is to do Thanksgiving with the wife's oldest sister on Friday with her family. That and wait for word that our RV is ready to pick up. We are REALLY looking forward to getting "home" back.

Y'all stay safe, and if you travel for Thanksgiving this week, be alert for the nutjob drivers.

Good morning folks,

Working half a day today then driving up to the lake house on Grand. Planning on spending Thanksgiving day at my Mom’s all day tomorrow. It’s only going to me, my wife and my Mom. Smaller than normal but it will be a good day.
Then traveling back to the city tomorrow night to finish packing for our cruise. Flying out to Orlando Friday morning for our cruise departure on Saturday. Our plans are, doing absolutely nothing with no time schedules while on the cruise.

Wishing you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

My wife and I reluctantly left our OK house to come back home for Thanksgiving with the in-laws. One oldest son is coming, but our youngest son has to work.
Our youngest son surprised us last night with the news he proposed to his girlfriend, and we’re very happy for them.
From my family to your’s…Happy Thanksgiving!!!
