Camp Howze was a WWII Army training camp and POW camp located NW of Gainesville, TX. In the image, one can see foundation pillars for the buildings and the tall structure in the background is one of three concrete water storage tanks that are still on site. I had never noticed them before, but those water tanks can be seen from I-35.

Now, the cow critters graze among the old foundations.

This one is a very recent photograph taken down inside of Luray Cavern in Virginia. In this photo, there is a pool of water which is absolutely still, thus one gets a mirror image of the stalactites and the ceiling of the cavern above the pool. Of the number of caverns that we have toured over the years, Luray is by far the most beautiful. In addition, it is a self guided tour with pretty wide lanes for walking and one can tour at their own pace instead of that of a guide.

Had to play catch up again on this thread. Our mini Aussie has had diarrhea for a couple days, but has seemed fine otherwise. Wake up this morning to the terrier acting way lethargic instead of his usual bouncy self. So I call the boss and take them both to the vet this morning right after the vet opened at 0830. Just stomach issues he says, gives them some meds and get back home to go into work by 0930.

4 of our 7 mechanics plus the boss are working in Snyder, TX all week, so we're short handed. Got one engine serviced today after my late start, hoping we keep up good enough the rest of the week. Quite the day to turn 46...
