Somewhere near the Red Rock Conservation Area in Nevada. What interested me in this one was the narrow red layer in the middle of the hill.

We had a pretty good day today with the kids and our grandson. Did some Christmas shopping here in the French Quarter and then lunch at Superior Mexican restaurant and then a movie. Three of us saw Gladiator and three saw Wicked, It worked out great since the both started at the same time.
Tomorrow we are heading to Baton Rouge for some tailgating at Death Valley. Then into Tiger stadium for the LSU vs Oklahoma Sooners game.
It should be fun since our kids are huge LSU fans and the wife and I are huge OU fans. LOL!!!

Just don't go exploring the cemetery at Metairie after 4pm.
We did and got locked in before completing the drive. Wife was not happy about spending the night in a rental car in the cemetery.
Fortunately, after folding the mirrors in, we did a little off roading to get through some of the memorials where we could drive around the gate and get out.
That could have been a pretty costly tour…..
I apologize to any family members that we may have driven over their grave sites, but I was not in a position to act reasonably as the wife was in panic mode at the thought of spending the night there.
Yeah, our kids have told us about people getting locked in some of the cemetery’s. Glad you guys were able to get out.
