There’s a big concrete slab ( I think a tornado cleared it off years ago) on the north side of I-44 by stroud, I’ve seen a flea market or something like that set up there once, it’s open and large?

That's the location of the old outlet mall that was destroyed by a tornado back when. The damage was so bad that they just tore down all the buildings.

But, seeing that it is right off of I-44, I'm not sure it would qualify for dbleak's "semi-secluded" description.

Yep, here's a couple of pictures. That's Turner Turnpike in background of top picture.

What if everyone were to kick in $10 or so to help pay for the gas? The peeps from the town the the event is scheduled in get 0% of the $10 back. Then, depending on how far you you travel to get to the meet, you'll get a share of the 'pot'. The farthest gets the biggest % and so on. Some algebra would be involved, but I'm sure we could figure it out........

From each according to his ability.... I didn't realize I was hanging out with a bunch of Marxist scum!

I'd pitch in. Another option would maybe to organize car pooling for members in certain areas?

I don’t have anything to sell at the moment but some brass.
I think it’s a great idea and if it needs to be in a secluded place I have that place but doubtful anyone wants to drive to a wheat field in NC ok.
We have had a couple of these flea markets at the Ponca gun range with the club supplying the grub and the members setting up their wares. Not much was sold but here were a lot of great conversations started.

The Yukon Round up Club has an air conditioned heated club house and can hold a lot of people. It has tables and chairs and has a large parking lot. I can check on its availability and cost if you want. For that matter, we could go to a local park and set up in a pavilion.
