@Boaty, thank you for your efforts to make this work. The property owners gets to make the rules. I wish it would have worked out.
@1big44, any more info on your location? Is it to late to go with the same dates? Do we need to ask for a headcount?
I appreciate all the work that has been done.

I own the Dog Trade in Sulphur we are open every Sunday. You guys are welcome on any Saturday for a private event. No charge. Facilities more than adequate. But like I said I not organizing it. I will offer this: If You guys wish I can reserve you spaces together during our Sale but you would have to pay $15 just like everyone else. But then you would have a couple thousand extra customers crashing the party. Either way I’ll do my best to help you make this happen.

I think this is the perfect place to have a meet. Maybe some metro area guys can carpool down. The only issue I see is the date for now. October 1 is opening day of archery. I know that would interfere with a number of guys plans. Maybe the following week? What says everyone?

I just saw this thread.. I live on a few acres outside of Tuttle. Only 15 mins from Mustang. Plenty of room for parking and setting up tables or whatever. Could probably rent a couple porta-jons.. just throwing it out there. I’d be willing to host a meet.

It feels a little weird going out on a limb and inviting a bunch of strangers to my property. Especially considering I’m new here… but whenever I see a need that I feel like I can possibly help with, I wanted to speak up

I’d also be willing to drive to sulphur if y’all make that happen. I’d pull the boat and do a little fishing on Arbuckle while I was in the area.

I’d love to attend a gathering and meet a bunch of y’all. Plus see what goodies are up for sale!

That’s very generous to offer. 1 issue though is if your selling you want a location that is somewhat high traffic for general public. If your relying on members here to buy all your stuff, you’ll likely be disappointed with results and time spent.

Yeah that’s kind of what I figured. I wasn’t sure if maybe it was a thing for members only. That’s when I had the thought, minimal buying and selling would be going on that way haha.

That being said it sounds like the place in Sulphur would be a solid bet

Plus a lot of these guys are tight wads. Unless your liquidating at 10% of value they’re to tight to squeeze out a penny.

I thought the whole point was to have a "OSA" gathering, not something necessarily open to the general public.

If it's somewhere that is exposed to the public and a few happen by, of course that's okay but I wasn't thinking of something set up for maximum exposure to hock your wares.

If a guy wanted to buy, sell, or trade with the general public there are many opportunities to do that just about anytime.

Like I stated before, I probably won't be able to make this gathering because I'm working weekends again but I think this is something that should be decided by those participating so that everyone understands what to expect.

I'm probably not a seller, but maybe a browser/buyer. I just assumed this was an OSA thing, not necessarily an effort to maximize exposure.

Thinking of it more as an opportunity to mingle amongst members and if some dealing occurs incidental to that, all the better..
