I'm surprised they didn't mention anything about concealed carry or mail-order ammunition laws, both of which are being challeneged in CA. They also mentioned an "unsafe handgun list", which does not exist. Not to argue over minutia, but there is only a "safe handgun list", and it is extremely restrictive. How paying an extortion fee to the state in order to be "listed" makes a handgun "safe" is beyond me.

I liked how officer handlebars is afraid of open carriers, and guns in general. Typical CA mindset. I love my home-state dearly, but I absolutely despise the political climate. One thing I'd like to remind everyone here is that for states like CA that haven't already recognized the 2nd ammendment as an individual right, McDonald is an improvement. Before, there was much less ground upon which to challenge CA laws.

jm,

Unfortunately CA citizens will still probably be jumping through restrictive hoops for a while similar to what Mayor Daley is pushing now in Chi-Town post MacDonald. I hope I'm wrong, but the hand wringing anti-gun mindset is very predictable.
