Yup, I saw it back then too. I believe the magazine in question was The Progressive Farmer. By my calculations, it had to be somewhere around 50-55 years back as my parents subscribed to it back then.

I would have been about 7-12 that long ago. I was thinking it was in later years when I subscribed myself, but you may be right. And they may have ran it more than once.

IIRC, it was a contest where subscribers would submit a caption for various images.
