I see so many of these get posted around the net that it makes me wonder how true the stories are, or if someone is just a good writer. I'd like to think things like this actually happen.

A couple months ago, a well-dressed older man in line ahead of me at QT paid for my drink and snack. I tried to do the same thing a few weeks later for a young fellow in line behind me, but he turned out to be an employee using a discount, so they had to decline my payment. It's the thought that counts, right?

about 3 years ago I had a guy pay for my gas at QT in owasso. He was driving a brown older CJ-5 jeep. Never got his name but i thanked him.

I do this on the turnpike every now and then. Love the look on people's faces in the rearview mirror.

Also nice that the toll collectors aren't stunned by it. That tells me it happens often enough that they're used to it. That's a Good Thing™

Happens a lot more than you think, but it's usually 2 cars together. I bet they get a surprise when they find out the other car you pay for isn't even with you.
