My first encounter years ago wasn't a good one. I tried to tell the officer "I'm a concealed carry license holder, and I'm currently concealing a loaded firearm."
Officer let me get to "I'm a" before he abruptly told me to shut my mouth. Ever since then, I throw the politeness out the window. First words out of my mouth since have been "I've got a gun" with both hands on the wheel, which then leads to the permit and normally a pleasant encounter.

We paid for them and willingly accepted them, so the tin foil doesn't apply.
Technically for "constitutional carry", yes, but not necessarily for permitless carry.The only "real" constitutional carry state I'm aware of is Vermont. Most the other states that people call "constitutional carry" just passed laws allowing permitless carry.
