Place bags of wood mulch on windshield to protect from hail

Yep that is what a buddy of mine has done for years.

Buys wood landscaping mulch in bags then bags it again in heavy contractor grade bags and places them on the glass of his vehicles when big storms approach.

He just bought some more bags at Lowes in Yukon today and the people there were informed of the use and they were blown away at such a simple and effective idea.

I had a friend that bought a couple dozen pool noodles and roped them together. He could tie them under the car (or to his wheels) and they covered most of it.

Also, protip --- if you're in Tulsa, you can get free mulch at the greenwaste dump if you wanted to bag it for use with this idea.

Lowes has mulch for 2 bucks a bag right now. For 30-40 bucks you could protect your whole car.

In my neighborhood most homes have 3 car garages but cannot get one car in there because it’s filled with crap.
