Pluging your .22(3) cal mags for Deer Gun

The current fall 2014- spring 2015 OK regulation guide for Deer Gun season, legal means of taking states " Clips or magazines of all .22 calibur centerfire firearms may not be capable of holding more than seven rounds of ammunition."

I am sure this includes .223/ 5.56x45.
Which leads to the question what do you plug your 10 round or larger clips with to comply?

You can buy 5 round AR magazines for .223/5.56. Some plug larger capacity magazines with a piece of wood or wooden dowel rod trimmed to sufficient length.

Remington sells the 5 round mags. I got one for my R-15 AR.

For the record its only .22 cal weapons that have the mag restriction. If you have an AK, you can use 30 round mags.

Yes, only my AR15's in .223 ... Did they define .22 cal to mean .220-.229 thousaths of an inch in diameter in the law? My searches did not come up with any.

Thanks Glock_21 & Oklahomabassin, but I was aware of those. Looks like the boys & I want exactly 7 rounds and since no one is making them or limiters we will do the rivet or screw/ bolt epoxied nut below follower mod.

Nice thought but we are fresh out of, err never owned AK's or .30 cal or larger magazine fed centerfire stuff.

Maybe I forgot to mention, I am not able to buy more mags right now after missing many months of work. So modding them is our best option.
