Its 7 in Ok.
I have a factory 5 round mag. Never let loose more than one on a deer. Its a stupid law that is best left alone. ***** about it, and some legislator will made the reg across the board.

I carry 10 rounds in my 6.8 magazine to start the season. Just because it is easy to drop the mag and dump chamber, lock the bolt back for transport. I have killed 5 pigs before in 1 sitting, so I don't see the reason to not load the rounds it is capable off.

That would be like only filling the fuel tank on the vehicle 4-5 gallons at a time when not driving more than 50 miles.

I've used a 10 round mag in my .243WSSM AR before. Never thought much of it, but I went to the field one day with one of the .223's and had a 30 round mag attached that is my truck gun. Had to back out for the day because I forgot.

Its a stupid law

Let me clarify. I only put 2-3 rounds in my bolt action rifle if I am hunting deer. I do that because, normally, I only need 1 round to kill the deer. I keep extra rounds on the stock holder. If I am hunting hogs or coyotes I am using my AR or my M1A and then I put a 10 or 20 round magazine in because there is a need for more ammo.
