I know this guy, and he's a huge idiot. He's a wart on the nose of fundamental Christianity! If you look at some of his other videos, you'll find that he is constantly making stupid statements, both about politics and the Bible. He is belligerent to law enforcement (see his video getting tasered by border patrol agents), and makes himself out to be a martyr when it goes wrong.

Therefore, take anything he says or does with a huge grain of salt!

No, you are not required to provide ID ... However, it will get you the opportunity to go on a ride along and experience the "full meal deal" ...

From personal experience I can tell you that the ride along isn't so bad. However, your introduction to the criminal justice system at the county jail isn't gonna be any fun at all ... :shocked:

If you are a passenger and you dont have id you go to jail? :eek2: Holy nanny state batman!

Refusing to provide ID is completely different that not being able to produce ID ... King's English, my man ... ;)

Thanks BB.....

ok so just that I understand, you can refuse to show ID if you are the passenger but it opens you up to other less desirable things....correct?

What is not being able to produce ID? I imagine that is "left it at home" kinda deal right?

BTW, I'm not debating about the preacher being a douche, he very well might be. I was just wondering what our law here in Oklahoma is. I'm sure this situation could have been handled by the preacher and his passengers alot better but it still made me wonder about the legality/constitutionality of the whole situation.

Yeah, you can refuse but depending on the circumstances you could be accused of refusing to obey a lawful request. Those things are very much reliant on the other facts surrounding contact.

Not being able to produce can be for any number of reasons, but left at home is probably the most likely one.

Again, all of these things can be a big deal or they can be nothing depending on the surrounding facts. Gotta kinda take the totality of the situation, ya know?? If you are a passenger in a car whose driver comes back with 45 warrants and there is a kilo in the trunk, well ... that is an entirely different story than if you are just riding with a buddy up to the 7-11 for a sodapop and get jacked up for having a headlight out ... :D

Damned JBTs ... :disappoin:rolleyes2:nono2::rollingla:bolt:
