I used to operate under the philosophy that "hey, what do I care if they check my ID, listen to my phone, search my truck..etc, I don't have anything to hide" but a few years ago I started reading and listening to Judge Napalitano and have since changed my mind about alot of things that have to do with things like this. That being said, I am no stranger to being pulled over or having encounters with LEO's, it's just part of my job and I would never think of acting like the "preacher" in this video. IMO LEO's have a tough enough job without that kind of behavior. I was just trying to think of what I would have done if I had been a passenger. And for the record, if I were in a vehicle that was being driven by someone with warrants and a kilo in the back I would be more shocked and dangerous to the driver than any cop.

LOL ... believe it or not GC and I both agree with pretty much everything you have said. And also believe it or not we have both had to deal with pissy JBTs at one time or another, so although, on the surface, it might look like we are partial to JBTs, really we are not.

Everybody needs to follow the rule of law, not just the citizens.

Boy am I with you there ... can you say "Opps, my gun just went off ALL BY ITSELF??" lol

From my understanding if you're just walking down the street, driving, etc., you have to provide your real name and address to a commissioned officer, but you are not required to produce a valid state ID.

Most states that I have looked into are this way. I think there was some Oklahoma legislation proposed that would require OK citizens to obtain a state ID if one did not have a driver's license. No idea what happened after that, though.
