So I went to the pay to wash and didnt check that the foaming brush was clean before I used it, so now my brand new truck has some decent little scratches in one bedside and some swirls around a lot of the rest of the body. My problem is I have always gotten my detailing supplies from a friend at a detail shop, can't anymore so I am just going to go pick something up from O'reilly and want to know what type yall have used and recommend, doesn't need to be aggressive or overly abrasive...Thanks OSA, and good mornin!

A highway near you.
I would get some polishing compound. I think the brand I have always used was Turtle Wax. You can get it at Auto Zone or Oreilys whichever. The rubbing compound is more abrasive but it dosent sound like thats what you need to just fix little scratches. Good luck with it.

Look here, another late nighter, working or just not sleepin? I kinda figured that but wanted some opinions on the matter, which I thank you for. I'll probably end up doing something like that, I noticed O'reilly has a Turtle Wax clay bar/polishing compound bundle for sale on the website that I may just purchase...

If you use a buffer, get a foam pad and not a wool pad. I always finish with a foam pad. It will keep out the swirls.

I'll actually be using a soft cloth cover for my small orbital buffer, but I agree with you, always finish with foam, and try not to let it get bad enough for wool...

Zaino Brothers.

I will look it up, thanks...

check autopia.org , also detailcity.com and meguiarsonline.com , autopia has more traffic, everything from faded camry's to swirled ferrari's, those guys are ridiculous when it comes to knowledge and expertise on this stuff. Not to mention ballsy considering some of the stuff they work on.
