what is max distance to shoot at camo corner?
we're not originally from the area, so we aren't too familiar with the rivalries in the area. Now, Florida/SEC rivalries are a different matter.Saw a bumper sticker from years ago on a UVA vehicle that made me crack up read thus:
”All dirt roads lead to Blacksburg.”
100 yd pitwhat is max distance to shoot at camo corner?
That sounds awesome. If we move there, I'll definitely check it out!The man is asking about gun ranges here in Stillwater,,,
I can't believe that no one has mentioned,,,
Stillwater Rifle Pistol Club.
srpc.info
This is copied from the membership application:
Annual membership dues when joining SRPC are $55.00 for a Regular (voting) membership plus a one-time range development fee of $100.00. The following year and thereafter, annual membership dues are $55.00 plus a $50 range maintenance fee while continuous membership is maintained. Associate (non-voting) memberships are $10.00 each. An Associate member must be a spouse or minor child under the age of 18 who is living under the same roof as the Regular member. Associate members may not use the range facilities unless the Regular member is present. It is permissible, however, for an Associate member 16 or older to have had the Range Orientation training and be the Range Officer in charge of the range if the Regular member is present.
They have three range setups that are very convenient for rifle and pistol distances,,,
Range out to 500 yards.
But here's what makes it really great,,,
The range is open 365 days a year, sun-up to sun-down,,,
No limits on how many visits a dues paying member can make to the range.
A member may also bring "guests" but only three times in a given year,,,
Their reasoning is that if you shoot there more than that,,,
You need to pony up and become a member.
I think it's the best deal around.
Camo Corner is a pay-per-visit facility,,,
It's a small-ish retail store with outside ranges carved into the landscape.
It's nice enough and the owner is a good guy,,,
But it's a lot more expensive if you like to shoot often.
So check out the SRPC website,,,
And welcome to OSU.

.P.S. I retired from OSU just a few years back.

You might need to send me the info. The interview seems to go really well and the Mrs. is ready to get out of Virginia! If you need a house, let me know. A neighbor of mine is getting one ready to sell and you might be able to get it before it hits the market.
Lots of shooting at a good range near Stillwater. Also, between Red Castle and OKC Gun Club, lots of quality shooting and competition relatively close.
We are both in ag. She would be in the College of Veterinary Medicine.Just out of curiosity,,,
What College (Education, Agriculture, Business, etc) is she applying to?
