My retirement speech last December
Dude trying to swipe right on the gun forum
Lol, wrong threadDude, we're WAY past doing just two things at once.
As for the solution, I suggest mixing the philosophies of a couple of our better presidents. As Washington said, avoid foreign entanglements. That doesn't mean isolationism as much as it would seem. By all means explore foreign trade and travel, just don't sign pacts or treaties that will advantage one group at the expense of another. Maintain a strong neutrality, except in matters of national sovereignty, meaning ours.
Then, follow TR's advice, speak softly and carry a BIG stick. By that I mean don't disparage how other nations manage their sovereignty. They should have the autonomy to rule their own as they see fit. If an American goes there, they should abide by their laws and customs, just as citizens of other nations should abide by our laws and customs when they are here in our nation. Maintain diplomatic ties to manage those instances where infractions are committed.
But what's just happened in Israel is where the BIG stick should come in. Foreign terrorists have kidnapped and killed American citizens, at the behest of Iran, the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. After taking an appeasement approach to Iran and the Palestinian elected Hamas, they feel emboldened to take this action against American citizens not engaged in combat against them. There's never been a better opportunity to show American resolve.
That's why for every American kidnapped, they should get a B2 payload delivery on the Gaza Strip. For every American killed, ten Tomahawks on Tehran. Broadcast every strike to the world in brilliant 4K video and let’s see if this happens again anytime soon.
Thanks to everyone who has served military or law enforcement.Me at the beginning of my career
