Anybody else love calling predators? Truth be known, I probably prefer shooting hogs and coyotes over deer hunting. I began calling coyotes as a kid, long before deer hunting. Anyway….. been working with a new youngster at work who is eaten up with calling coyotes and it really re-ignited my passion for it. Been making a few stands lately, now that most deer hunters are back home and out of the way.

I even let a gray fox walk yesterday. Gonna try to get one of my boys on him instead of shooting him myself. I’m not sure I’ve ever called in a predator that I didn’t at least try to kill. 🧐 Maybe I’m getting old and soft.

I’m with you on Hog & Coyote hunting, I enjoy it more than deer hunting.
I do most of my hog hunting at night with thermal.
I use an electronic ICOTEC caller for coyotes during the night & day. I do more coyote hunting in winter during the day.

I’ve got the agm rattler 25/384 and I’ve been shooting hogs with it for a year or so now. I’ve shot hogs with a 7.62 ar, a 6.5 grendel ar, and a 6mm arc ar platform with that thermal. All of them do a good job, the 7.62 probably gets the job done a little better than the rest, but it isn’t as accurate. It’s “minute-of-pig” though, and that makes it good enough.

My oldest son and his buddy have done some night calling and had good luck. I guess it’s time that I learn that method as well.

I bought a Foxpro Hellcat Pro last week. I’ve had a decent amount of luck already. It’s hard for me to believe how far the technology has come with ecallers, they’ve really advanced.

I have an older EcoTec 300 that I need to get out again. Haven’t actively hunted coyotes in a few years
