I use a VPN exclusively for work (OpenVPN) and for personal stuff Aura VPN (on my smartphone and Computers.) Really frustrating though that some banks and even legit shopping sites do not permit using a VPN. Another issue that is bigger though, is the way many companies (like restaurants) want you to input your phone and e-mail. All they do is turn around and sell the info to anyone. There are huge issues with our internet, a simple VPN will not eliminate all hacking.
And if you have a VPN and tell it you are from New York instead of BFE Oklahoma, you will get restaurant and store suggestions from NY. Maps are also affected.

I also have been known to use Proton VPN free version from time to time.

Can't choose a specific country though.
No, but you can cycle through a few by turning it off and back on. It's very quick to connect and if you're getting a slow-down, it's easy to drop that one and grab another!

In most cases if a website refuses to allow me in on a VPN, then I don't want to use their website anyway. In the rare cases where I actually need to, I can always grab a burner email/phone number to gain access.

With NordVPN if you hit a website not allowing….2-3 key stokes allow you to pause the VPN for 5 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour. Really not a big deal.

I've "heard" you can watch any sport worldwide, including Thunder and Sooners, without subscribing to the high priced services and rather not be tracked so VPN is the way to go.
