I kept my prices low and did not raise them, now I cannot afford to restock so I am no longer stocking guns in my store and will rely on internet sales.
If you need a gun today, I cannot help you. same with ammo, I cannot restock it for what it sold for so the new owner will have to do it.

Franson Firearms.

Exactly! We've been notified by our primary supplier that prices are going up, some of those price increase were retroactive to existing orders. We held our prices as long as we could, but we like being in business.

It is not price gouging if prices go up due to increased demand and increased prices from suppliers. If you do not like the price, go somewhere else. If you can find it cheaper, that is great. Due to the political situation prices are going up on ammo, evil weapons (you know the ones), and high cap magazines. It will get worse.

Can you give us an idea of what the price increases are? Is it 10 to 15% or 30 to 40%? Somewhere inbetween? Have any of your suppliers quoted 100 200 or even 300% price increases? If the suppliers are quoting 30 to 40 percent increases and you are marking your items up 300% and blaming it on increases from your supplier then you are a douche and a gouging sob.

I like the guys from FBT and do not think you would ever even think of doing that and do belive honeybee would either. He seems to be the most honest gunsmith I have ever spoke to. Please do not stand up for the people that are marking their items up 300% and blaming it on supply and demand. They are taking advantage of a tragedy and intentionally screwing over people for sake of the dollar. The guys at dongs are jerks and people deserve to know it. They will gouge you if you let them. There are plenty of forum supporters that actually care about their customers. The shops that take care of the customers are the ones that deserve the business. Not shops that are intentionally GOUGING.

I would never defend the guys at Dong's. I'm just saying that prices are increasing as demand increases. We have seen some pretty hefty increase as are reflected in the cost of our latest batch of lower receivers. We had a short time to decide if we could actually pass these increases on to our customers, evidently we made the right decisions as you guys seem to understand the situation pretty well.

Who knows. Soon we may be bitching that we didn't stock up on Pmags while we could still get them for $50 bucks each.

Edit: I won't be bitching.
