It's supply and demand. Gasoline retailers do it daily. I'm not happy about it, but it is what it is.

There is no such thing as price gouging. There is supply and demand. No matter how high you raise the price of something, if you are still selling it then you are selling it at market value. If you aren't selling it, then you aren't making any money. Either way, no one gets gouged. The only people who can gouge are those who have a monopoly or who coordinate prices with all their competitors.
