You piqued my interest when you posted this gun, so I got to looking around and found a blue 942w for sale “locally“. This seems like a really good woods or tackle box gun. I’m waiting on the guy to email me back.
Yeah, I like the 22mag round for a trail gun. A 2 inch with adjustable sights and the right ammo could be effective.

I bought a Taurus 856 back in December. I’ve ran a a little over 200 rounds through it so far. It’s a pretty nice gun. I like it a lot.

As far as how it compares to a similar sized Smith? I have a 442. It’s a nice revolver too. But they really aren’t comparable. Different frame metals. Different triggers. Just different feeling guns.

Having said that, up to this point, the Taurus in no way takes a back seat to the Smith. Both are nice guns.
