Of course Obama is trying to foment a civil war, or at the very least promote schisms between the American people: left vs. right, poor vs. middle class (who pay for the programs of the poor) with the goal of dividing and destroying the political effectiveness of the middle class. Sprinkle in issues like gun registration, mandatory background checks to eliminate private gun sales, "ehanced" mental health assessments to be associated with the ability to qualify to own firearms (which sounds good on paper to rubes, but it is the classic tactic of an authoritarian state to begin to label political dissenters as the mentally ill).

Add into the above the Executive Power Grab vis a vis "terrorists" or those associating with a group that associates with terrorists (as defined by the executive branch) that purportedly legitimizes the President's ability to have any American picked up, jailed and incarcerated without formal charges, tried in the absence of accusers he cannot cross-examine and then executed and/or sent to some foreign gulag from where the accused will never be seen again.

We have foreign troops in America who will likely be called up to enforce any martial law/gun confiscation scheme, while most of our military has been spread thin all over the globe. Since Sandy Hook, stories appear every day in the news where young children are suspended and sent home for things like Hello Kitty Bubble Blasters, pictures of a gun on a screen saver, throwing imaginary hand grenades at imaginary bad guys during recess, attempting to throw into a trash can a torn piece of paper that is roughly in the shape of a gun, and so on, ad nauseam. The mental conditioning/punishments going on in the elementary schools serve as our notice that the next generation of kids will have an anti-gun bias drilled into their heads and will have been taught to snitch to authority figures. The elitists know that children's minds can be changed when started early and given sufficient repetition on a subject.

The new villains in the war on terror are going to be white conservatives, libertarians, returning service members, and political dissenters. They are those who will be swept up in dragnets. We have upcoming television series, such as Founding Fathers on ABC where the bad guys will be local militia members in Texas who are supporting Al Qaeda. The DHS was set up to be an internal police state. We were told the enemy was the foreign Al Qaeda, but that concern has morphed into a focus on so-called domestic terrorists. (Which was the plan all along)
.
It's also interesting to note that the DHS has ordered over 2 billion hollow point bullets in the last twelve months (enough to fight a sustained war for thirty years) and have ordered seven thousand selective fire AR-15s, which they classify as personal defense weapons not the "assault weapon" label the public gets castigated for owning.

I could go on with other examples, but there's no need. People are either going to watch and be aware of what's coming our way, or they will be glued to Dancing With The Stars and sporting events. If the gun control agenda starts to stall in Congress, watch out for a big false flag event that will be attributed to a tea-party type with racist leanings, and so on. Count on it.

I breifly listened to a hip-hop radio channel tonight and the DJ was repeating the bogus, math- challened story about the DHS ordering so many dangerous hollow point bullets.
You foment hysteria you promote it all over.
Idiots will inherit the earth.

Well let me share something I ran across recently...

10 Reasons Why America is Already in a Civil War
Before the shooting war ever began in 1861, America was already at war with itself. The North and South jockeyed for position before the outbreak of hostilities, people's loyalties were divided and states were taking sides. This time its alittle different in that while states aren't looking to seperate from the union, yet, they are defying the federal government in other ways. People too are taking a stand, households are divided, split between pro-gun and pro-ban folks. LIberals and consevatives. America is already in a civil war and here are ten reasons why:
1. VIRGINIA PLANNING ITS OWN CURRENCY
The Commonwealth of Virginia is examining what it would take to have a “plan B” currency ready to go in the event of a Federal Reserve meltdown.
“My purpose is to have a Plan B,” he said, so Virginians would still be able to conduct commerce without using greenbacks.
2. 200+ SHERIFFS SAY NO TO OBAMA GUN LAWS
3. SAN DIEGO POLICE CHIEF: WE CAN DISARM AMERICANS IN A GENERATION

San Diego Police Chief William Lansdowne is fully supportive of the Obama/Feinstein gun grab, and says if lawmakers play it right Americans can be completely disarmed within "a generation."
Lansdowne has gone on record saying: "I could not be more supportive of the president for taking the position he has. I think it's courageous with the politics involved in this process. [And] I think it's going to eventually make the country safer."
4. OBAMA ASKS MILITARY LEADERS IF THEY WILL FIRE ON AMERICAN CITIZENS
"I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new "litmus test" in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. "The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not". Those who will not are being removed," Garrow wrote on his Facebook page, later following up the post by adding the man who told him is, "one of America's foremost military heroes," whose goal in divulging the information was to "sound the alarm."
5. UTAH SHERIFFS PREPARED TO DIE FOR 2ND AMENDMENT
We respect the Office of the President of the United States of America. But, make no mistake, as the duly-elected sheriffs of our respective counties, we will enforce the rights guaranteed to our citizens by the Constitution. No federal official will be permitted to descend upon our constituents and take from them what the Bill of Rights-in particular Amendment II-has given them. We, like you, swore a solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and we are prepared to trade our lives for the preservation of its traditional interpretation.
6. S.C. BILL WOULD NULIFY ANY EO's AGAINST 2ND AMENDMENT
Senator Davis has filed SB 224 which is a Joint Resolution to Nullify Executive Orders infringing upon the second amendment, and the right to keep and bear arms. This Joint Resolution has been referred to the Senate Committee of Judiciary.
SB 224 states, “Any federal executive order restricting, abridging, or otherwise infringing upon the free exercise of a citizen’s second amendment right to keep and bear arms is unconstitutional and shall not be enforced by any federal, state, or local law enforcement agency within South Carolina.”
7. MISSOURI BILL WOULD JAIL FEDS FOR VIOLATING 2ND AMENDMENT
Introduced by Missouri State Representative Casey Guernsey, with 61 co-sponsors, is the Missouri 2nd Amendment Preservation Act. House Bill 170 (HB170) would nullify any and all federal acts, orders, laws, statutes, rules, or regulations of the federal government on personal firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition.
8. OVER 1000 GREEN BERETS SIGN LETTER SUPPORTING 2ND AMENDMENT
Over 1000 Green Berets have signed a letter re-asserting their oath to support and defend the Constitution by protecting the second amendment rights of American citizens.
The letter, which originally featured at ProfessionalSoldiers.com, was written by "current or former Army Reserve, National Guard, and active duty US Army Special Forces soldiers."
9. WYOMING LOOKS TO BAN FEDERAL GUN BANS
Dismayed by the Obama administration’s push to reform the nation’s gun laws, state lawmakers in Wyoming are proposing legislation designed to protect gun owners from gun bans, like the one Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) introduced into the Senate last week.
Called the “Firearms Protection Act,” the bill is essentially a ban on federal gun bans.
10. MOST AMERICANS SUPPORT GUN BAN; MOST GUN OWNERS DO NOT
A majority of Americans support strong, new gun control measures-including the assault weapons bans and broader background checks, according to a new ABC/Washington Post poll released Tuesday. The findings found broader support for gun control in the wake of the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn., with 52% of people saying they supported further gun restrictions since the shooting. Source The Fox poll interviewed more than 1,000 registered voters in mid-January on a wide range of issues, most of which were related to firearms and the Second Amendment. According to the results, more than half of all respondents said there was at least one gun in their household - and the numbers have been steadily rising over previous years. Another five percent did not know whether there were guns in their home, or they were not willing to answer the question.
Among the 52 percent of respondents who admitted to having a gun in their household, the overwhelming majority said they would defy any “law” purporting to require the surrender of firearms. An astonishing two thirds said outright that they would defy the unconstitutional pretended act of legislation. Some 13 percent were not sure, and just 22 percent said they would give up their guns or submit.
The more the government tries to push a gun ban, the worse these things will get. They are not the only reason either, the government is increasingly looking at Americans as threats, especially regular joes with guns, veterans and anybody with an opinion enough that doesn't chime with government tone. The DHS is buyings guns and ammo by the thousands, they have labeled gun owners as terrorists and seem to preparing for hostilities to break out inside the United States. Not to mention the fact that Obama now has absolute power to make you disappear into oblivion or outright kill you and not have to tell anybody about it. Slowly but surely the government has eroded your freedoms and liberty. It is my sincere hope that Americans will wake up to the increasing boot in their faces. I leave you with some words from a man who once said, 'give me liberty or give me death'.

It looks to me like the answer to the OP's question would be - "Yes."

So you're cool with his delaying action in supporting Vicksburg that lost the Mississippi River?

The Reb proletariats wanted to string him up for that. Too bad they had no string.

Obama is just a pawn. Look at the people who helped get him there first. Civil war? Nah, not IMO. Disruption and chaos to centralize power and money, yes.

Yep. The army was strung out and he already stated several times to his generals that they could not expect quick reinforcements. Thats why they lost Kentucky and Tennessee also.

I agree with you. The Union did not even exert itself in fighting two fronts. The Secessionists were at nearly 100% conscription while the Federals didn't even break 50%. The manufacturing output of Richmond was 85% of the entire Rebel Army, but it was like 2% of the Union. The war was a mismatch before it began. That's why JD must have pushed so hard in Pennsylvania/Harrisburg. If not for the devastation at Gettysburg, his delay at Vicksburg may have been worthwhile if Lee took Philadelphia.

The Rebels had nothing but shock and audacity on their side. If they had scared the Union into letting them be, who knows how it could've turned out.

However, I have to think that the Civil War would've been rekindled a million times over afterward, and ultimately the end result would be the same.

Sadly I agree. The North would have been like Britain after the Revolutionary war. Still Aggressive towards change.
