Ok! Doc cleared me to shoot .22 ... I am close to H&H. You name the day and time and I will be there with bells on. Don't make fun. I haven't shot a gun since November (or maybe it was December) last year.

I'm gonna go out to Henry's this afternoon and knock some dust off.

There is a BIG difference in an explanation and an excuse. Have you forgotten who beat who with whose gun last time we met up? A gun I had never fired before ... Hmmmm ... seems I might be spending A LOT of time at the range between now and when SF tells when the meet up is ...

Cuz I won't go down without a fight!

I have a feeling this is going to go down on a day that I cant play. If so, lets set one up at Grandmas as well at some later date even if its just two or three of us. I dont care who wins, it seems I never learn much unless shooting under stress even if its minimal stress like a competition.
On a slightly side note, I wonder if it would be possible to don an online comp? Everyone involved shoot targets with 1" squares for reference, couple of different distances. Post pics.
Probably wouldnt work.

First, I've never been to Grandma's but I'd be up for the drive now.

Second, I've seen online comps done and as long as everyone playing has some degree of integrity it works. I've seen a couple of them go to **** but I know most of these guys and God help me, I trust them ...

Going this afternoon to get started. Just spent an hour with the trainer at the gym working out a plan to get the rest of this weight off and get some strength and endurance back. I can barely walk a mile now, where 90 days ago I could do 5-6 miles easily.

It is astounding what a surgery like this takes out of you physically. But I'm getting better every day. I did actually have a headache this morning when I got up but a couple of aspirin took care of it in short order. That's a vast improvement over the handful of **** I used to take, which was only minimally effective -- and every bit of it was addictive. If I had had a genetic propensity for addiction I would probably be in rehab going through withdrawal right now. I thank God every day that I didn't wind up with that burden to carry.
