Philosophy it amazes me how we only get one try a year. Like if you are really luck you will grow tomatoes about 60 times in your life., I got 1lb of turmeric rhizomes and 2 starts yesterday. Planted the starts and will wet place the rhizomes before long. I have hope of leaving it inground as I see from Wayland Smalley deep mulch gardening. Every year is a new adventure .

I've never looked into it but is that true for all stone fruit?
Mostly all prunus roots stocks are are comparable but species do have a preference, plums are usually on st Julian, which is a decent green mirrabelle plum on it's own, peaches tend to be on lovell, apricots tend to be on a bush cherry rootstock. But you can graft plums, peaches, apricots and almonds all on one tree. Cherrys are grafted on cherry rootatock, usually mazzard
